  Senator Jack Scott (D-Pasadena), Chair of the Senate Education Committee, and Senator Tom Torlakson (D- Antioch), Senate Democratic Caucus Chair, all former teachers, today called for approval of legislation to help California recruit and retain 100,000 new teachers over the next ten years.
