There used to be Today, Michigan faces a nursing shortage, a shortage that is expected to grow to some 18,000 nurses by 2015. And yet last year, 44 hundred qualified applicants were turned away from nursing programs in Michigan simply because there wasn't enough room for them. And while thousands wait to enroll, hundreds more enter nursing programs only to encounter delays while they wait for an opportunity to complete their clinical requirements.The Michigan Nursing Corps purpose is to train new nurses and faculty. -
