  Just a few project updates this week, beginning with work scheduled for Interstate 20 in Van Zandt County, where striping crews are scheduled to be at work today between SH 19 and the Turner-Hayden on/off ramps. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress. As a rule, the closures are planned for the eastbound lanes in the morning, and the westbound lanes in the afternoon. Also this week, thanks to you, TxDOT podcasts receive record numbers of hits and views.

  TxDOT's Mineola Maintenance Section works to repair a base failure, or pothole, on FM 14 north of Hawkins in Wood County. A Gradall digs out the damaged pavement, then a maintainer blades in the fresh material. The process takes less than two hours.
