Hurricane Ike needs no introduction, but this week's interviewee might. When evaculanes are opened, or when contraflow is enacted, Toribio Garza, the deputy director of TxDOT's maintenance division, is the man who sets those plans in motion. I spoke with Toribio on Wednesday morning to get the latest on TxDOT's work to help Corpus Christi residents evacuate ahead of Friday's predicted landfall.
